Micro-program in Interdisciplinary Archaeological

This program integrates archaeology, humanities, cultural heritage, and related practical courses to cultivate students' basic archaeological knowledge, interdisciplinary integration abilities, and practical experience. With a focus on practical application, the program emphasizes the parallel development of theory and practice, helping students understand the application of archaeological work in cultural heritage preservation, local historical and cultural research, and public humanities practice. It provides students from different departments with diverse learning pathways to engage with archaeology-related fields.

How to Apply

  1. All students of National Chung Hsing University are entitled to apply. It is to be noted that the program belongs to day school, students in night school should comply with regulation “L3-04 National Chung-Hsing University Policy of Inter-departmental Course Selection.”
  2. The application form of the program should be signed by the department chair before submission; applicants should submit the application form in hard copy form to the Room 510, 5th Floor, Humanities Building prior to the submission deadline.
  3. Limit of students’ study period would not be influenced if students do not complete the program. In such cases, there is no need to withdraw from the program.
  4. Students must select at least one foundational course and at least one professional course from the course schedule, totaling 6 credits or more. Only one course offered by the "General Education Center" can be counted. At least 4 of the 6 credits must not be courses required for the student's original major, double major, or minor.
  5. Students must obtain their transcript of final grades for the required courses before applying for the microcredit program certificate in their graduation semester.

Steps to Apply for the Program Certification

Step1. Complete the required courses.
Step2. During the graduation semester, 3 weeks ago before the graduation process begins, submit the "Certificate Program Application Form" and your "Academic Transcript" to the Room 510, 5th Floor, Humanities Building for review. After approval and stamping by the program coordinator, the documents will be forwarded to the Registration Office for processing.
※ Processing time for document review is approximately 2-3 business days.
Step 3. Pick up your certificate at the Registrar's Office.
