Digital Humanities and Information Application Program
The establishment of this program is a recognized collaboration based on the integration of faculties from relevant institutes and other academic units aiming to cultivate students’ interdisciplinary competency and literacy in digital humanities. Through the planning of core curriculum, skill curriculum and application curriculum, students’ professional abilities in digital humanities are expected to be strengthened. With training in interdisciplinary digital application abilities, students’ vision in digital humanities and practical skills shall be elevated, which in turn enhances students’ competency in future career and academic pursuit.

 

How to Apply

  1. All students of National Chung Hsing University are entitled to apply. It is to be noted that the program belongs to day school, students in night school should comply with regulation “L3-04 National Chung-Hsing University Policy of Inter-departmental Course Selection.”
  2. The application form of the program should be signed by the department chair before submission; applicants should submit the application form in hard copy form to the program office prior to the submission deadline.
  3. Limit of students’ study period would not be influenced if students do not complete the program. In such cases, there is no need to withdraw from the program.
  4. A total of 15 credits should be taken to obtain the certificate of the program, according to the rules of Interdisciplinary Programs.
  5. Students of micro-programs should take a total of 9 credits to obtain the certificate.
  6. Students should obtain their transcript of final marks before applying for the program certificate.

FAQ

  • Q:How to select courses? Will the courses be automatically selected by the Academic Affair System?
    A: Please refer to the information on the program website (information differs every semester) and select the courses manually.
  • Q: If I want to apply for credit exemption, would the program accept courses that have been marked “exempted”?
    A: No. If the credits have already been exempted for other courses (also, when no score could be shown for courses per se on the grade record system), the exemption for courses of the program would not be accepted.
  • Q: If I am not able to complete the courses of the program or do not apply for the certificate before I graduate, do I need to withdraw from the program?
    A: There is no need to withdraw from the program. Graduation would not be influenced if the program is not completed.
